9th September – Shanghai

Chinese Lantern in Beijing

On the 9th (Happy Birthday Florian and Jane!), we woke up very late – our room didn’t have a window so we did not realise the time. so we left quickly to visit Nanjing Lu (the equivalent of the Ramblas), the Bund (with a view of Pudong), the old City and People Square. In the evening we met with Florian for a celebratory dinner and drinks. Dinner was great, we went for Chinese food at Ding Tai Fung and had dim sum, I was very surprised, it was good, we even had a foie gras dim sum! The sweet dim sum was not the best for me… After that we went for a drink on top of the hotel indigo at Char bar with one of the best views in Shanghai.

Happy birthday Florian et Jane!
Nous nous levons très tard et partons explorer vers 12h seulement, on a visite la Nanjing Road sorte de Champs-Elysées/ Ramblas, le Bund avec vue sur Pudong, la vielle ville et People’s Square. On retrouve Florian et un de ses amis Alberto pour manger chinois. J’appréhendais un peu car moi et la cuisine chinoise ça fait 3! Nous avons mange des Dim Sum au restaurant Ding Tai Fong et j’ai adore, il y avait meme un dim sum au foie gras, le dim Sum sucre un peu moins mais franchement j’ai été agréablement surprise. Après le diner, nous prenons un taxi pour Char, le bar de l’hôtel Indigo qui est sur le toit, on avait la meilleure vue sur Pudong mais on a finit la soirée dans les nuages! Joyeux anniversaire Florian!
